In the past, you needed to have My Amend, a complicated degree in nerd-communicate, to get a WordPress template installed. But today, in most instances, that’s not the case. Assumption #1: You are hosting your own WordPress web page and no longer have one hosted for you through WordPress.Com (that is critical—but don’t worry. I’ll show you later how to host your own WordPress website that you can regulate easily!).
Assumption #2 is that your website hosting business has hooked up WordPress for you (GoDaddy and Fantastico are the most common). This will mechanically give your site the “permissions” necessary to make updates and upload your subject in WordPress.
Assumption #3 is that your acquired template came to you in a zip document. A zip report is a set of documents that could generally be too large (or too massive of an ache within the you-realize-what) to upload.

Don’t worry about doing whatever with these files! We’re going to apply them precisely in the manner they’re. Now for the fun element.
Step 1:
Log into your WordPress website (remember, this needs to be a domain you host yourself and no longer one from WordPress.com). This should take you to your Dashboard (however, you are likely familiar with this web page, right?).
Step 2:
Click on the little arrow after the Appearance module on the left-hand side of your display screen. A collection of extra alternatives should drop. One of those choices will be “Add New Themes”. There are a few rare cases where you’ll need to put in the template via FTP. However, unless you make mistakes while installing the template the way I’ve just advised you and have exhausted tapping the expertise of your pal who knows WordPress, I’d stay away from logging into the FTP.
